El director del Centro de Operaciones de Emergencias (COE), Juan Manuel Méndez, informó que 28 provincias en todo el territorio de la República Dominicana se encuentran bajo las condiciones de alertas amarilla y verde por las inundaciones que va dejando la activa vaguada que genera fuertes aguaceros, ráfagas de vientos y tormentas eléctricas.
El COE mantiene 16 provincias en alerta amarilla y 12 en alerta verde por posibles crecidas de ríos, arroyos y cañadas, así como inundaciones urbanas y repentinas, debido a que las lluvias continuarán con menor intensidad y frecuencia. Se prevé que en horas de la tarde las precipitaciones estén acompañadas de tormentas eléctricas y ráfagas de viento.
