Santo Domingo. – La Corporación del Acueducto y Alcantarillado de Santo Domingo (CAASD) inició la segunda fase de los trabajos de saneamiento de la cañada Tiradentes y la construcción de Cristo Park.
Durante un recorrido por el área donde se levantará el parque junto a su equipo de trabajo, el director de la CAASD, ingeniero Felipe Suberví, verificó los avances de la obra que beneficiará a una población de más de 350,000 habitantes en la capital.
“Estamos supervisando las labores de Cristo Park, un proyecto que hemos estado trabajando durante muchos años a nivel conceptual y queremos que quede como lo pensamos en beneficio de la comunidad de Cristo Rey y los sectores colindantes”, expresó el funcionario durante la visita de supervisión a la infraestructura.
Asimismo, el funcionario revisó los planos y recibió información técnica de parte de los representantes de la compañía que lleva a cabo el saneamiento de la cañada y la construcción del parque.
En ese orden, el titular de la CAASD explicó que los trabajos avanzan de manera satisfactoria, con miras a que el proyecto de Cristo Park sirva de referente al sano entretenimiento de la familia a nivel nacional.
Suberví, también recordó que la obra beneficiará directamente a los habitantes de los sectores Cristo Rey, La Puya, Arroyo Hondo, La Agustina y ensanche La Fe.
El servidor público agregó, que además de ser un espacio de esparcimiento y recreación el parque estará destinado a la conservación de la riqueza natural dentro la ciudad.
Atractivos del parque
Como parte de las facilidades y atracciones, Cristo Park tendrá parqueos vehiculares, ciclovía, baños, un vivero, glorietas, gimnasio, área de juegos infantiles y de esparcimiento. Además de canchas de basquetbol, tenis y fútbol para la sana recreación de los adolescentes y de los comunitarios.
Al ofrecer los detalles técnicos del proyecto, el funcionario recalcó que “para dar respuesta a la demanda de agua y saneamiento, acorde al crecimiento demográfico y a las políticas presidenciales, la CAASD se encuentra inmersa en la ejecución de grandes proyectos, de cara a la Estrategia Nacional de Desarrollo, y en total apego a las Metas y Objetivos Institucionales.”
