Santo Domingo. – El director general de la Corporación del Acueducto y Alcantarillado de Santo Domingo (CAASD), ingeniero Felipe Suberví, realizó un recorrido de supervisión por varios sectores del municipio Santo Domingo Este, donde miles de personas empezaron a recibir agua potable tras 20 años de espera del servicio.
En ese sentido, Suberví revisó las labores de abastecimiento que ejecutan las brigadas de la institución, donde unas 12,000 personas comenzaron a recibir por tubería el preciado líquido.
Durante el recorrido, el funcionario declaró que dentro de los sectores beneficiados se encuentran: La Urbanización Villa Felicia, en el distrito municipal de San Luis.
De igual modo, el director de la CAASD señaló que más de 5,000 pobladores que tenían más de 20 años sin el servicio del agua fueron beneficiadas en el sector La Ureña Norte.
“Asumimos el compromiso de mostrar un antes y un después en la solución del suministro de agua en el gran Santo Domingo”, destacó.
Asimismo, detalló que el proyecto también abarca además de la urbanización Villa Felicia, las comunidades La Paz; El Martillo; Roca de Salvación; Villa Linda; Parque La Doña; San Isidro Centro y San Isidro Arriba, entre otras.
“Vamos avanzando para lograr abastecer a todas las comunidades de esta demarcación”, dijo.
En ese orden, reiteró la disposición del presidente Luis Abinader, de llevar agua potable a cada hogar, dando respuestas a las demandas que en ese sentido ha tenido por decenas de años la población.
El director de la CAASD estuvo acompañado del encargado de Operaciones de la sucursal Este, Robinson Pérez López y los regidores Antonio Feliz; Estela García y Abraham Sánchez.
También estuvieron presentes Domingo Calzado, en representación del alcalde de San Luis Rodolfo Valera; el presidente de Desarrollo Comunitario de San Isidro, Juan Francisco Polanco; Anibal Paulino, miembro de Desarrollo Comunitario de San Luis, y otras personalidades.
