Jimani, provincia Independencia. – Por primera vez la Jornada de Inclusión Social “Primero Tú” que realiza el Gobierno a través de la Dirección General de Proyectos Estratégicos y Especiales de la Presidencia (Propeep), llegó este domingo a esta provincia y benefició a más de mil personas en condiciones de vulnerabilidad y extrema pobreza.
Durante la misma fueron registradas decenas de personas que recibirán las tarjetas del seguro de salud Senasa y pensiones solidarias.
En esta jornada, la número 33 que fue encabezada por Adolfo Pineda, director del programa Dominicana Digna, y demás funcionarios de Propeep que dirige el ministro Neney Cabrera, recibieron servicios y asistencia médica y social decenas de mujeres, algunas embarazadas, envejecientes, discapacitados, adultos mayores, jóvenes y niños.
Además, se brindó asistencia de salud, a través del Servicio Nacional de Salud (SNS) y del Seguro Nacional de Salud (Senasa). Se dieron servicios odontológicos, se hizo registro de personas para declaraciones tardías y se entregaron cientos de raciones alimenticias y crudas, distribuidas por los Comedores Económicos y el Instituto Nacional de Estabilización de Precios (INESPRE) y otras instituciones del gobierno.
Pineda, al hablar en el acto, realizado a pesar de las lluvias torrenciales generadas por la onda tropical que afecta al país, destacó el interés del presidente Luis Abinader y del ministro, de mejorar las condiciones de pobreza y de vida de la población dominicana, sin importar banderas políticas.
Sostuvo que a través de las jornadas “Primero Tú”, Propeep ofrece de manera integral en un solo lugar los servicios de salud y otros de gran demanda de la población, en especial del segmento social más pobre del país.
De su lado, la gobernadora provincial Mercedes Novas, dijo que «nuestro presidente Luis Abinader está comprometido con la provincia Independencia, en especial con este municipio de Jimaní».
En la actividad, el primero en recibir su documentación de pensión solidaria fue el señor Francisco Familia, de 80 años de edad, quien agradeció al presidente Luis Abinader y al ministro Neney Cabrera, por haberle tomado en cuenta, y les deseó éxito en sus gestiones, tras exhortarles a seguir trabajando para la gente.

Por la representación de la provincia, además de la gobernadora, estuvieron el diputado Yadelis Matos; el director general del INDRHI, Olmedo Caba; el director provincial de Salud, Alfonso Herasme; Kennedy Vargas, viceministra de Deportes, entre otros funcionarios y personalidades Invitadas.
