Santo Domingo. – El director general de la Corporación del Acueducto y Alcantarillado de Santo Domingo (CAASD), Felipe Subervi, (Fellito) anunció la implementación del modelo de cumplimiento regulatorio y antisoborno bajo los estándares internacionales ISO, como muestra de su compromiso institucional con la calidad de sus servicios y la integridad de sus colaboradores.
Suberví, ofreció los detalles durante una reunión de trabajo en la que participaron funcionarios y colaboradores de la institución, además de Babaji Cruz y Tania De León, consultores de la firma Lexi Public Law Attorneys en este proceso de implementación, quienes disertaron sobre el tema.
Explicó que, con este paso, la CAASD se convertirá en un referente de transparencia e integridad en la administración pública, en consonancia con su misión organizacional y valores.
“Por el momento iniciaremos el proceso de levantamiento de información para el proceso de implementación de las normas ISO 37301 de cumplimiento regulatorio y la ISO 37001 de gestión antisoborno”, informó el funcionario.
Dijo que actualmente, la CAASD está comprometida con la calidad de los servicios que ofrece a los ciudadanos del Gran Santo Domingo, así como en la capacitación e integridad de su personal, por lo que era necesario dar ese gran paso bajo los estándares internacionales con la certificación ISO.
“Aunque hemos ido mejorando en todos los aspectos a nivel de transparencia y prevención de la corrupción administrativa, este trabajo que realizaremos nos ayudará mucho más, y eso es a lo que está apostando el presidente Luis Abinader desde que asumió el gobierno”, precisa el director general de la CAASD.
Este plan de trabajo está pautado para iniciar en la segunda semana de mayo de 2023 y persigue la identificación de obligaciones legales internas y externas para gestionar los riesgos de incumplimiento, mal manejo del erario, proteger a la institución, generar confianza en los colaborades y socios y elevar la reputación, entre otros, bajo las normas ISO.
De su lado, los conferencistas Babaji Cruz y Tania De León, presentaron la ponencia “Cumplimiento y Antisoborno”, en la cual definieron las líneas generales de la iniciativa de transparencia en la CAASD, una prioridad del gobierno que encabeza el presidente Abinader.
Ambos conferencistas se refirieron a la necesidad de promover un cambio de cultura en lo relativo a la prevención de la corrupción, de modo que “las cosas se hagan bien, aunque nadie las esté viendo”.
Durante su disertación, Cruz explicó que se crearán los controles necesarios para evitar que se incurra en la ilegalidad durante la realización de los procesos administrativos y misionales, para lo cual, agregó, se cuenta con un plan de trabajo que implica preparación técnica del personal y gestión de los grupos de interés, entre otros componentes.
También mencionó la importancia de los factores de riesgo en cumplimiento y antisoborno, tales como conflictos de intereses, errores humanos, delegación no guiada y la desvinculación de los principios éticos.
Entre los funcionarios que participaron en la actividad figuran el subdirector Francisco Campusano; el asesor del departamento de Operaciones, Luis Salcedo; Robinson Pérez, encargado de Operaciones de la institución en Santo Domingo Este y Pablo Silva, de la Gerencia de Operaciones del Norte.
Las normas ISO consisten en un conjunto de estándares con reconocimiento internacional que fueron creados con el objetivo de ayudar a las empresas e instituciones a establecer niveles de homogeneidad en relación con la gestión, prestación de servicios y desarrollo de productos en la industria.
