Si bien el pandémico 2020 fue un año que el subdirector de la Dirección General de Aduanas, Johannes Kelner, catalogó de “complejo”, las distintas innovaciones realizadas en ese organismo se tradujeron en un crecimiento de recaudaciones por encima del 20%.
Ese desarrollo se presenta, incluso, al comparar el 2021 con el 2022, y el 2021 versus 2019, de acuerdo con el ejecutivo, durante el panel “Avances DGA en materia de facilitación de comercio exterior”, en el 38° Congreso Latinoamericano de Comercio Exterior (Clace).
De hecho, señaló que para destacar ese crecimiento en las recaudaciones, se tomaron en cuenta variables como la apreciación del dólar. “Nosotros hemos crecido también, entre el 2021 y 2022, en exportaciones de manera consistente, en el tema de volumen y valor”. Otro tema que no quedó fuera fueron las importaciones.
Explicó que estas últimas habrían aumentado en 10%, aproximadamente. Con esos datos, resaltó que los avances en temas tecnológicos para exportar e importar en República Dominicana “no es difícil”.
Facilidades
Gracias a las distintas innovaciones que han hecho en la DGA, tanto los exportadores como importadores han tenido un impacto importante, asegura. “El tema de facilitación tiene un impacto importante en el que va a importar o exportar, en cuanto a costos”, dijo.
Aunque explicó que esas facilidades no se pueden medir, afirma que desde el organismo que representa, tiene estimaciones que representa millones de dólares, “porque si yo puedo ahorrar en demora, en detección”, algo que señala es muy costoso en otros países.
“Ha sido un impacto positivo para quienes ahorran dinero”, finalizó, calificando de “impresionante” el crecimiento de las recaudaciones.
