El ministro de Educación, Roberto Fulcar, expuso en Panamá las experiencias educativas puesta en marcha en el país durante la pandemia de la COVID-19 para que la docencia dominicana no se viera interrumpida.
Al exponer en su condición de presidente pro tempore del Consejo de Ministros de Educación y Cultura de la Coordinadora Educativa y Cultural del Sistema de la Integración Centroamericana (CECC/SICA) que se reúne en La República de Panamá, Roberto Fulcar destacó que el país sobrepasó de forma exitosa los obstáculos que la pandemia del coronavirus puso a la educación.
El ministro de Educación habló en esos términos al participar en el Noticiero TVN que se transmite por el canal 2 de la televisión panameña y que conducen los destacados periodistas Castalia Pascual e Ikar Reyes, y señaló que durante el año escolar desarrollado en medio de la pandemia en República Dominicana se hizo una combinación de Radio, televisión, Internet y cuadernillos, lo que permitió llegar a todos los estudiantes para no generar nuevas brechas.
«La pandemia del coronavirus lo transformó todo, cambio la economía, la educación, cambió la cultura, cambió la vida y, por el hecho de que en el país se arrastran brechas digitales, sociales, de electricidad, de conectividad, de dispositivos tecnológicos, brechas en términos de formación y capacitación permanente del magisterio, el Ministerio de Educación tuvo que tomar decisiones para no generar nuevas brechas», manifestó el ministro Roberto Fulcar.
En ese sentido, expresó que para los países de América Latina la Covid-19 representó en sus inicios una dificultad que hizo tomar decisiones trascendentales para poder lograr la continuidad de los procesos educativos de los estudiantes.
Roberto Fulcar se encuentra en Panamá para presidir la 46ava reunión Ordinaria del CECC/SICA, que se reúne en Ciudad de Panamá de desde mañana jueves 28 al viernes 29 de este mes.
El ministro afirmó que gracias al uso de la tecnología la educación virtual llegó para quedarse, y que, aunque los gobiernos de los diferentes países no estén preparados totalmente, deben transformarse y montarse en el tren de la virtualidad, ya que la vieja presencialidad dejará de existir.
El titular educativo dijo, además, que debido a la nueva realidad cultural que se está viviendo a nivel mundial, no se puede hacer avanzar la educación al margen de lo cultura, ya que se ha demostrado de que el viejo modelo educativo no funcionó, no produjo resultados de calidad, sino que era un modelo educativo que se utilizaba antes de la revolución tecnológica.
Al finalizar, hizo un llamado a todos los gobiernos para que recopilen las experiencias positivas del antiguo modelo de educación presencial, como lo es el sistema de los relacionamientos de los docentes, de los estudiantes, de la familia y la comunidad, para que con ello se desarrolle un nuevo modelo en beneficio de todos los actores que conforman la escolaridad.
